Flash Biometrics has entered into an agreement with the Nevada State Athletic Commission to provide licensing technology and facial recognition-based identity verification at state-sanctioned combat sports events, the company announced today.

The agreement follows a review process that began in late 2025 and lasted approximately 10 months, and required review and signature from the Nevada Attorney General’s office before it could be executed, according to Flash Biometrics.

Under the agreement, Flash Biometrics’ technology will be used to verify the identities of all credentialed individuals at commission-sanctioned events, including licensed competitors, referees, judges, cornermen and promoter personnel. Verification will take place at credential check-in and at restricted-area access points. Implementation begins immediately and will be phased in across sanctioned events. The agreement is the first of its kind for the State of Nevada.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission regulates all professional and amateur unarmed combat in the state, including licensing fighters, officials and promoters. It is widely regarded as the most influential regulatory body in combat sports, and its rules and safety standards are frequently adopted by other state commissions.

In 2025, the Nevada State Athletic Commission sanctioned 58 events across the UFC, professional boxing, mixed martial arts and the Power Slap League across venues including T-Mobile Arena, the UFC Apex and MGM Grand Garden Arena generating an estimated $300 million in economic impact for the city of Las Vegas.

“When you enter into an agreement with the most respected independent regulator in sports, it is the greatest vote of confidence a business can have that they are the gold standard in identity and eligibility verification,” said Neil Lenhoff, co-founder of Flash Biometrics. “The State of Nevada is the premier location for sports, especially combat sports, in the world. No endorsement can be higher than Nevada’s in that it is both the most prestigious as well as impartial.”

Flash Biometrics, a product of App-Order LLC, is a facial recognition platform for identity verification and event access. Flash Biometrics’ platform verifies identity in under a second and has been deployed across youth and amateur sports, live events and large venues. The company surpassed one million users in 2025. Flash Biometrics encrypts all biometric data and does not sell user data.
