Potomac Bank has named Anthony Ranghelli as its new Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer, a move the bank states bolsters its commitment to innovation. In this senior leadership role, Ranghelli will spearhead the implementation of new ideas, experiences, products, and processes across the organization. He will also continue to oversee IT, Digital, Information Security, and Fintech initiatives.
Alice P. Frazier, President and CEO of Potomac Bank, expressed confidence in Ranghelli’s qualifications for the expanded role. “There is no one better qualified to lead our innovation efforts than Anthony,” Frazier stated. She highlighted his consistent leadership in guiding the bank’s technology initiatives to provide clients with advanced banking tools. In his new capacity, Ranghelli will also direct strategic transformation efforts throughout the entire company.
Ranghelli brings a strong educational background to his new position. He holds a Global Executive MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and an MS in Management of Information Technology from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. He also completed the Bank Technology Management program at the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His undergraduate degree is a BS from James Madison University in Health Professions and Related Clinical Sciences. Additionally, Ranghelli is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has completed a Design Thinking for Innovation certification at UVA.
